Lowering the Cost of Living
Maine families are being squeezed by inflation, high energy costs, and rising property taxes. Annalyse believes Augusta needs to stop passing costly mandates that trickle down to working families and start delivering real fiscal relief.
District 51 residents are feeling the pinch every time they fill up their gas tank, pay their heating bill, or check out at the grocery store. Annalyse will work to reduce unnecessary state spending, oppose unfunded mandates on municipalities that drive up property taxes, and support energy policies that bring down home heating and utility costs. Maine should be an affordable place to raise a family — and right now, it's moving in the wrong direction. Annalyse will vote against budgets that grow government at the expense of taxpayers.

Supporting Small Businesses
Maine's small businesses are the backbone of District 51's economy, and they deserve a representative who will cut red tape, oppose burdensome regulations, and make it easier — not harder — to create jobs right here at home.
Too many of Maine's small business owners say state government makes it harder to grow, hire, and compete. Annalyse will advocate for reducing regulatory burdens on local employers, opposing tax increases that hit small businesses disproportionately, and streamlining licensing and permitting processes. She understands that when local businesses succeed, the whole community benefits — through jobs, tax revenue, and a vibrant local economy. Augusta should be a partner to small business, not an obstacle.

Parental Rights in Education
Parents — not government bureaucrats — should be the primary decision-makers in their children's education. Annalyse will fight to protect parental rights, promote transparency in schools, and ensure Maine students receive a world-class education focused on core academics.
Annalyse believes that parents have a fundamental right to know what their children are being taught and to be involved in decisions about their education. She supports full curriculum transparency, opposes policies that exclude parents from conversations about their child's health and wellbeing at school, and will advocate for education funding that follows the student. She also supports vocational and technical education pathways that prepare Maine students for high-demand careers without requiring a four-year degree.

Public Safety and Law Enforcement
Maine communities deserve to feel safe, and the men and women in law enforcement deserve full support. Annalyse opposes policies that undermine police and will work to ensure communities have the resources they need to stay safe.
Annalyse is a strong supporter of Maine's law enforcement community. She believes that safe neighborhoods are the foundation of a healthy economy and quality of life. She will oppose any effort to defund or weaken public safety agencies, support adequate funding for local police and first responders, and advocate for criminal justice policies that hold offenders accountable while protecting victims. She also supports responsible measures to address Maine's ongoing substance abuse crisis through recovery resources without removing consequences for criminal behavior.

Protecting Maine's Natural Resources and Traditions
Maine's hunting, fishing, and outdoor heritage is central to the culture and economy of District 51. Annalyse will stand firm against overreaching regulations that threaten access to Maine's lands and waters and the livelihoods connected to them.
Maine's forests, rivers, and coastlines are not just scenic backdrops — they are the foundation of local economies and cherished traditions passed down through generations. Annalyse supports responsible stewardship of Maine's natural resources while opposing federal and state overreach that restricts access to public lands, burdens landowners, or undermines Maine's traditional resource industries. She also strongly supports Second Amendment rights and will oppose any legislation that infringes on the rights of law-abiding Mainers to keep and bear arms.

Fiscal Responsibility in Augusta
Maine state government has grown faster than Maine families' ability to pay for it. Annalyse will be a watchdog for taxpayer dollars, demand accountability in state spending, and oppose budget increases that leave hardworking Mainers holding the bill.
Annalyse is committed to bringing a taxpayer-first mindset to the Maine State House. She will scrutinize every spending bill, oppose expanding government programs without proven results, and push for audits and performance reviews of existing state agencies. She believes Maine can deliver essential services more efficiently and at lower cost to taxpayers. Long-term fiscal sustainability means making responsible choices today — not kicking debt and deficits to the next generation of Mainers.
